2020年に京都芸術大学美術工芸学科染織テキスタイルコース卒業
2022年に同大学大学院修士課程染織テキスタイル分野を修了
現在は大阪を拠点に活動
「日常をリフレームする」をテーマに、ブルーシートや輪ゴム、不織布、水糸などの工業製品を素材に用い、物事の価値の再考を促す作品を制作している。単純な染織技法の執拗な反復と、そこから生じる身体感覚の連動にも関心を寄せる。
近年の主な展覧会
「群馬青年ビエンナーレ2025」（群馬県立近代美術館）、「Kyoto Art for Tomorrow 2023」（京都文化博物館）、「VOCA展2021」（上野の森美術館）など。

【作品説明】
ブルーシートのような誰にとっても馴染みのある素材に対して、ごく単純な「絞る・縫う」といった終 わりのない規則的な作業をひたすら繰り返して制作される長田作品。ブルーシートと聞いて想起 される、工事現場をはじめ、ホームレスの方の家や災害時、事件時の目隠しといった不完全なものを多い隠すネガ ティブなイメージを、作品を通してリフレームし、ものの価値や時間について改めて考えるきっか けを生み出している。 作品タイトルの数字は使用しているBB弾の数を表しており、言葉を絶する集中力と作業量、繊細 さを感じさせる。

With the theme of “reframing the everyday,” Nagata creates works using familiar industrial materials such as blue tarpaulins, rubber bands, nonwoven fabric, and marking string, encouraging viewers to reconsider the value of ordinary objects. She is also deeply interested in the persistent repetition of simple dyeing and textile techniques and the bodily sensations that emerge through this continuous process.

【Artwork Description】
Nagata’s works are created through the endless repetition of simple, rule-based actions—such as tying and stitching—applied to universally familiar materials like blue tarpaulins. While blue tarpaulins often evoke negative associations—construction sites, makeshift shelters for the unhoused, disaster zones, or visual barriers at accident scenes—she reframes these images through her work, prompting renewed reflection on value and time.

The numbers used as titles of the works indicate the number of BB pellets incorporated, conveying an overwhelming sense of concentration, labor, and delicate precision.
