足立篤史（1988年神奈川県横須賀市生まれ）は、東京造形大学彫刻専攻卒業。記憶や時間の堆積を主題に、彫刻を基点としながら平面・インスタレーションへと展開する。BankART U35や大丸・髙島屋や海外など各地で個展を重ね、第26回岡本太郎現代芸術賞特別賞、KAIKA TOKYO AWARD 2024山峰潤也賞を受賞。都市空間や商業施設、美術館など多様な場で発表を続け、メディア掲載も多数。　

この世のあらゆる物には、それが存在した時代や人々の生活、記憶が刻まれている。私は当時の新聞や印刷物といった資料を素材に、形のなかった記憶を“実体化”し、記録として残すことを試みている。表面にその時代の物を刻み込むことで、資料を超えたリアリティを立ち上げ、過去を新たに見つめ直す契機をつくる。それは未来へ向けて記録を残す行為であると同時に、過去を再び垣間見る瞬間でもある。

Atsushi Adachi (born in 1988 in Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan) graduated from the Sculpture Department at Tokyo Zokei University. Centered on themes of memory and the accumulation of time, his practice originates in sculpture and expands into two-dimensional works and installations. He has held numerous solo exhibitions at venues including BankART U35, Daimaru, Takashimaya, and international locations. He received the Special Prize at the 26th Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art and the Junya Yamamine Prize at the KAIKA TOKYO AWARD 2024. Adachi continues to present his work in diverse contexts such as urban spaces, commercial facilities, and museums, and has been widely featured in the media.

All things in this world bear the imprint of the era in which they existed, along with the lives and memories of the people who inhabited that time. Using historical newspapers and printed materials as my medium, I attempt to give physical form to memories that once had no shape, preserving them as records. By inscribing the surface with traces of the period, I seek to generate a sense of reality that transcends the original documents and create an opportunity to reexamine the past from a new perspective. This act is both a way of leaving a record for the future and a moment of glimpsing the past once again.

Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University, Department of Fine Arts, Sculpture Major, 2014. Received the ZOKEI Award at the Tokyo Zokei University Graduation Research and Graduation Works Exhibition.
