私は「軽さ」をテーマに制作を行っています。ここでいう軽さとは、物理的な重さではなく、中身の薄さや空虚さ、飄々とした自由さを指します。
軽さは一般的には否定的に捉えられがちですが、私はそこに美しさと強さを見出しています。人生は過去から現在へと連なる物語として捉えられがちで、その積み重ねは私たちの価値観を形づくる一方、ときに人を縛るものにもなります。私は、軽さにはそうした固定化された価値観や物語を軽やかに飛び越え、新たな見方を生み出す力があると考えています。
現在は、「ペラペラ人間」シリーズと「軽さの標本」シリーズを制作しています。「ペラペラ人間」は私にとって理想化された軽さを象徴する存在です。一方、「軽さの標本」では、人物に限らず、蝶や貝殻、ワイングラスなど、直感的に軽さを感じた対象を描き、その軽さとは何かを探っています。私の作品は、軽さの美しさや自由さへの憧れから生まれています。

2024 Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Kyoto City University of Arts, majoring in Oil Painting

My work is centered on the theme of ‘lightness.’ The lightness I refer to here is not physical weight, but rather a sense of shallowness or emptiness, and a carefree sense of freedom.
While lightness is generally viewed negatively, I find beauty and strength in it. Life is often viewed as a narrative stretching from the past to the present; while this accumulation shapes our values, it can also sometimes become a constraint. I believe that lightness possesses the power to effortlessly transcend such fixed values and narratives, giving rise to new perspectives.
Currently, I am working on the “Fluttery People” series and the “Specimens of Lightness” series. The “Fluttery People” symbolize my idealized conception of lightness. In the “Specimens of Lightness” series, on the other hand, I depict not only people but also objects—such as butterflies, seashells, and wine glasses—that intuitively evoke a sense of lightness, exploring the very nature of that lightness. My work is born from a longing for the beauty and freedom of lightness.
