大阪府生まれ、大阪府拠点。
2018年京都造形芸術大学（現・京都芸術大学）大学院 芸術研究科芸術専攻修了。
《hiwadrome》なるコアコンセプトのもとに、身体性をテーマとした映像や自身も使用する車椅子を用いたインスタレーション作品を制作する。
またパブリックへの直接的な介入「play」を通して、様々な境界や関係性、アクセシビリティなどを問い直すパフォーマンスやプロジェクトも行っている。

近年の展覧会に「Kanon：檜皮 一彦 + 檜皮 しよ子」 (2020年、岡本太郎記念館、東京）、「水の波紋展2021」 (2021年、旧港区立児童館 三角公園、東京）、「Drawing Experiment 01」（2021年、ワタリウム美術館 オンサンデーズ、東京）、「Kyoto Art for Tomorrow 2022」 (2022年、京都府京都文化博物館、京都）などがある。

Born in Osaka, based in Osaka, Japan.
he graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design (now Kyoto University of Art and Design) in 2018 with a Master’s degree in Art, Graduate School of Art.
Under the core concept of “hiwadrome,” he produces video works on the theme of physicality and installation works using a wheelchair that he also uses.
He also engages in performances and projects that question various boundaries, relationships, and accessibility through “play,” a direct intervention in the public sphere.
