1984年生まれ。2019年英国王立美術学院の彫刻科修了。2011年東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科修士課程鋳金専攻修了。 原始的な素材や存在への関心をもとに、近年は固有性に関わる問題をテーマに絵画やインスタレーション作品を制作する。 主な個展に「A Second in Thousands – 36°19’21 “N, 139°01’09″E」（rin art association、高崎、2024）「Fragments of Information」（大和日英基金 、ロンドン、2020）、グループ展に「My Friends Are Genius II – Recent Graduate Exhibition」 （White Conduit Projects、ロンドン、2019）、「Only Connect Osaka」（CCOクリエイティブセンター大阪、大阪、2019）、「思考する技術」（京都市立芸術大学付属ギャラリー＠KCUA、京都、2018）がある。

Hochoul Lee (b. 1984) was awarded an MA in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art in 2019. Lee is trying to revive people’s sensibility whilst stimulating human perceptions and recognition. Philosophy and modern thought are what give him inspiration, and he uses naive methods and simple materials to materialise and visualize his works.
