1987年、東京都生まれ。
油絵を描く父のもとで育ち、幼少期から絵に親しむ。
日本、イギリス、インドのルーツを持ち、異文化に触れるインターナショナルスクールと日本の公立学校で教育を受ける。多様な価値観の中で自身のアイデンティティを形づくり、卒業後はレンタカー店、金融業、バーテンダー、新聞配達、タクシードライバーなど様々な仕事を経験。人々や社会と深く関わってきた経験が、現在の創作活動に生きている。

2020年より画家として本格的に活動を開始。幾何学的な構成、自然物のモチーフ、鮮やかな色彩、力強い筆致を特徴とするスタイルを確立。作品には日常の中で感じ取った感覚や、人々との出会いから得た気づきが色濃く反映されている。

作家の根底にあるのは、家族や文化、伝統、土地など、自ら選んだのではなく、与えられたものへの誇りと覚悟である。過去から受け継いだものを礎に、今という営みが未来へとつながっていく。その時間の流れを見つめる姿勢が、一貫して作品に宿っている。生き方そのものを藝術と捉え、命の循環や土地の記憶を描き出すことを自身の表現の核としている。

Born in Tokyo in 1987, Itoshi Sakhrani was raised under the influence of a father who painted in oil, fostering a deep connection with art from an early age. With roots in Japan, the United Kingdom, and India, he was educated in both　international and Japanese public schools, gaining exposure to diverse cultural perspectives. These experiences played a central role in shaping his identity.

After graduating, he worked in a wide range of occupations—including car rental services, finance, bartending, newspaper delivery, and taxi driving. These varied roles offered opportunities for close interaction with people from all walks of life, and the insights he gained continue to inform his creative practice today.

Since 2020, he has pursued painting full-time, developing a distinctive style characterized by geometric compositions, vivid color, natural motifs, and expressive brushwork. His work reflects impressions drawn from everyday life and revelations sparked by encounters with others.

At the core of his vision is a sense of pride and responsibility toward the elements he was born into—family, culture, tradition, and land. These inherited aspects form the foundation of his work, connecting the present to the future. This awareness of time’s continuity is a recurring theme in his practice.

He regards life itself as art, with a creative focus on the cycles of life and the memory embedded in the land.
