私は塩を使い暴力の象徴である兵器を制作しています。岩塩は数億年前の海が固まった、生命の源そのものです。その形は命を奪う兵器だが、塩は海に返すことができる素材です。塩でできた溶ける作品は「兵器は溶けて消えるべき」ということを人の記憶に留め、その記憶は次の世代が向かう未来に繋がっていくのです。

I use salt to create weapons that are symbols of violence.Rock salt is a solidified sea hundreds of millions of years ago and is called “primeval soup”.Its shape is a killing weapon, but salt is a material that can be returned to the sea.The melting work made of salt keeps people’s memory that “weapons should be thrown away”, and that memory will lead to the future for the next generation.
