栗原莞爾　1993年神奈川生まれ。

2022年 東京藝術大学大学院 美術学部 芸術学科 美術教育研究室 修士課程修了。
第70回 東京藝術大学卒業・修了作品展「早暁賞」を受賞した後、2023年に新宿髙島屋美術画廊で個展を開催。
独自の表現で現代の景観を再認識する試みを行なっている。

ステートメント
私たちはインターネットを介した社会形態と現実の場を同時にもつ、「多重生活者」として暮らしている。また、現実で見る風景や人物や色彩とバーチャルのものとの差異が、ほとんど違和感なく浸透している環境にある。自分の制作は、この現実とデジタルが深く混在する現代の状態を再認識できるかどうか、それを絵画表現するための試みです。そして、現代の都市は歴史・文化・テクノロジーなどを有しており、「見える空間」と「見えざる空間」で構築されている。現実(real)と仮想(virtual)という二つの空間が、これまでに無い程に密接な空間を作り出す様を、独自の手法（熱転写シートを絵の具がわりに表現する手法）を用いて可視化していることが自身の作品の特徴です。

Born in 1993 in Kanagawa.
Completed Master’s program in Art Education, Department of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2022. After receiving the “”Sokyo Prize”” at the 70th Tokyo University of the Arts Graduation and Completion Exhibition, he held a solo exhibition at the Shinjuku Takashimaya Art Gallery in 2023. He is attempting to re-conceptualize the contemporary landscape with his unique expression.

Statement
We live as “”multiple lifestyles,”” having both a social form via the Internet and a place in reality at the same time. We also live in an environment where the differences between the landscapes, people, and colors we see in reality and the virtual ones are pervasive, almost without discomfort. My work is an attempt to see if I can reaffirm this contemporary state in which reality and the digital are deeply intermingled, and to express this in pictorial form. And contemporary cities have history, culture, technology, etc., and are constructed with “”visible space”” and “”invisible space. The way the two spaces, real and virtual, create an unprecedentedly close space is a characteristic of his own work, which he visualizes using a unique method (a method of expressing heat-transfer sheets instead of paints).
