Overwrite (情報や感情、自己体験への上書き)をコンセプトに作品制作を行なっている。
脳内に蓄積された感情や経験をはじめとする情報は、正の意を持って役立つことも有れば自身を苦しめる負のトリガーにもなり得る。SHIKATA自身は、その理由を自己体験に基づき脳内に保存されて以降、更新されない情報記憶として存り続けているからであると考えている。意図的または無意識的な脳内における情報の蓄積に対しOverwrite(上書き)を施すことにより、元あった情報とは別物・新しい存在を自ら作ることで過去の経験や負のトリガーに対してもリスペクトを持って向き合うことが出来ると考え制作をしている。
作風・・Overwrite（情報と感情の上書き）をコンセプトとし、経験や感情に基づき作成したグラフィックに対し、多様なマテリアル、デジタル・アナログの両者を用いた様々な技法をハイブリッドに組み合わせ、上書きを施している。

Based on the concept of “Overwrite (overwriting information and emotions),” the artist attempts to visualize the information and emotions stored in the brain.
Using a variety of materials, both digital and analog, and a hybrid combination of various techniques, he overwrites his works, creating them as new entities that are different from their original existence.
