2023年　京都芸術大学大学院 芸術研究科 修士課程 芸術専攻　修了

自身で書き綴った詩や散文、日本の近代文学作品などをもとに、文章の中に立ち現れる情景や文字そのものをモチーフにした絵画を制作している。言語というものが世界を知覚する手段でありながら、同時に世界を変容させる力を持つことに関心を寄せ、言葉に依拠しつつも、言葉だけでは捉えきれない感覚や印象を、絵画という視覚表現の中で探求している。キャンバス上に描き重ねられた様々な言葉の形が滲んで崩れ、他の図像と交わっていくことで、言葉というものの移ろいや意味の変容を視覚的に表現している。言葉の物質性と可変性に注目しながら、絵画を通して新たな語りを開くことを目指している。

Drawing on poems and prose she has written herself, as well as works of modern Japanese literature, she creates paintings that take as their motifs the scenes that emerge from the text and the written characters themselves. Fascinated by the fact that language is both a means of perceiving the world and a force capable of transforming it, she explores—whilst relying on words—the sensations and impressions that cannot be fully captured by language alone, through the visual medium of painting. As the various forms of words layered upon the canvas bleed and disintegrate, intertwining with other imagery, she visually expresses the transience of language and the transformation of meaning. Focusing on the materiality and mutability of language, she aims to open up new narratives through her paintings.
