京都を拠点に活動。

華美で過剰なセルフイメージから社会のロールやジェンダーを考察する作品群を、様々なメディアを横断して生み出してきた。同時に、そのイメージは「女性性と影」ーーそしてそれらは予感と夢想が原動力となってーー抽象化され、線によるドローイングとなり焼き付けるという行為によって 展開されている。様々なマテリアルへと施されてゆくセルフイメージは、まるで元からそこにあっ た印のように現れ、見る者を原始的な異物の魅惑世界へと誘う。

Based in Kyoto, Japan.

Her works, which cross a variety of media, examine social roles and gender through her flamboyant and excessive self-images. At the same time, the images of “”femininity and shadow”” – driven by premonition and dreaming – are abstracted and turned into line drawings, which are then burned into the surface. The self-images applied to various materials appear as if they were already there, inviting the viewer into a fascinating world of primitive foreign objects.
