2000年 東京都生まれ。 2022年、個展「してん」を機に本格的に作家活動を開始。
犬と人間の関係性を主なモチーフとし、人間社会に存在する見えない制約や他者との関わりをテーマに作品を制作している。犬という人間に最も近い動物を通して、人間そのものを描くことを試みている。

犬という生き物は自由なのだろうか。
ある昼下がり、散歩をしていた犬を見て考えた。もちろん犬はリードをつけている。
しっぽを振り、自由気ままに歩いては、時々リードに引っ張られている。
身近な存在すぎて、今まで考えたこともなかったが、「犬」という生き物は実に面白い。人にとって彼らは相棒であり、友である。日本の場合「犬」という生き物の多くは、人に飼われ、交配し、血統書を付けられる。リードの話でもそうだが、私はこの循環や環境が一生き物として「不自由」だと感じた。
しかし犬からは「人間への憎しみ」だとか「支配からの脱却」などといったドラマチックなものは一切感じない。ただしっぽを振って時々主の顔を見ながら歩く犬が、私の前を通り過ぎただけだった。そこで私は「不自由」という感情を犬に押し付けていたことに気づいた。
それから私は犬について考え続け、作品として昇華し続けた。現在至った、犬という生き物についての解釈は、犬は人であり、人は犬であるのではないかということだ。人は常に何かに縛られる。お金、時間、日々の生活の中で知らず知らず見えないリードに繋げられている。地球という庭に繋げられたリードは多くの人々を生涯縛り続ける。
今一度、犬という生き物はどういう生き物なのかを私は考え続けたいと思う。

2022 長亭GALLERY OJUN賞受賞

Born in Tokyo in 2000. In 2022, she began her career as an artist in earnest with her solo exhibition “Shiten.”
Using the relationship between dogs and humans as her primary motif, she creates works that explore the invisible constraints that exist in human society and our interactions with others. Through dogs—the animals closest to humans—she attempts to portray humanity itself.

Are dogs truly free?
One afternoon, I found myself pondering this as I watched a dog out for a walk. Of course, the dog was on a leash.
It wagged its tail and wandered about as it pleased, only to be pulled back by the leash from time to time.
They’re such a familiar presence that I’d never really thought about it before, but “dogs” are truly fascinating creatures. To humans, they are companions and friends. In Japan, most dogs are kept as pets, bred, and given pedigree certificates. As with the story of the leash, I felt that this cycle and environment represented a form of “lack of freedom” for a living creature.
Yet I sensed absolutely nothing dramatic from the dog—no “hatred toward humans” or “break from domination.” It was simply a dog walking by, wagging its tail and occasionally glancing at its owner’s face. That’s when I realized I had been projecting the emotion of “lack of freedom” onto the dog.
Since then, I have continued to think about dogs and to channel those thoughts into my art. The interpretation I have arrived at regarding dogs as living beings is this: perhaps dogs are people, and people are dogs. People are constantly bound by something—money, time, and the invisible leashes to which we are unknowingly tethered in our daily lives. The leash that ties us to the garden we call Earth continues to bind many people for their entire lives.
I want to keep thinking, once again, about what kind of creatures dogs truly are.
