企画概要
このたびの展覧会では、日本画を中心に、若手アーティスト12名の作品約100点を展示します。日本画や書道などにおいて、何もないところや何も描かれていない部分は「間」や「余白」と呼ばれています。「間」が存在することで、作品のモチーフや線は一層強調され、余韻や余情などを生み、また時には開放感や安らぎの効果をもたらすと考えられています。本展では、若手アーティストたちによる「間」を巧みに利用した作品の展示を通じ、鑑賞者へ「間」を想像して楽しむ機会を提供します。
Event Summary
“The exhibition will feature approximately 100 works of mainly Japanese-style paintings by 12 young artists. In Japanese-style painting and calligraphy, the empty space or the area where nothing is drawn is called “”Ma”” or “”Yohaku” (space or pause). The presence of “”Ma”” is thought to emphasize the motifs and lines of the work, creating a sense of lingering emotion and at times a spacial freedom and peace. Through the works of the young artists which skillfully utilize “”Ma,”” this exhibition offers viewers an opportunity to imagine and enjoy the realms of “”Ma.””

『書道家・真澪による書道パフォーマンス』
日本のみならず、フランス・パリのルーブル美術館での書道パフォーマンスなど、ヨーロッパ、アメリカ、アジアでも活躍する書道家・真澪。今回は屏風に書を書くライブパフォーマンスを実施。
躍動感と力強さの中に女性らしい繊細さも兼ね備えた真澪が制作する様子を間近でお楽しみください。

“Calligraphy Performance by Calligrapher SHIN-REI”
SHIN-REI is active not only in Japan, but globally in Europe, America and Asia having also given a calligraphy performance at the Louvre in Paris, France. In this event, she will give a live performance of writing calligraphy on a folding screen.
Enjoy up close the creative process of SHIN-REI’s calligraphy as she brings to life the dynamism and strength of her brushwork combined with a touch of feminine delicacy.
