彫刻家 瀬戸優によるモデリングパフォーマンス

彫刻家 瀬戸優によるモデリングパフォーマンスを実施します。粘土でサイの全身像を制作し、その作品をアーティストと来場者で解体します（※事前予約制）。アーティストの新たな試みとなり、本会場でしか見ることのできない作品です。

アーティストコメント：
私の作品の重要な要素の一つに、”素早く勢いのある粘土付け”があります。粘土の表面には作家の触覚や軌跡が残り、それが動物の持つ生命力に繋がると考えております。 今回はその粘土付けに焦点を当て、パフォーマンスを試みます。普段制作しているテラコッタ彫刻は焼成というプロセスを踏むため、作品のサイズや粘土を支える芯棒に制約があります。今回はそのプロセスを取り払うことで瀬戸作品史上最大のサイズに挑戦します。

SHETAによる公開制作

アーティストが在廊して作品を制作します。また、会場にて注文制作を受け付けます。

色の塗り重ねやアウトラインを描くところなど、作品制作の過程をお見せできたらと思います。制作しているところを見ていただき、アートをより身近に感じてもらえましたらうれしいです。実際に見ていただく中で気になる事などあればお気軽にお声掛けください。作品が完成するまでをぜひ楽しんで見ていただけたらと思います。

SENKO TAKAHASHIによる公開制作

アーティストが在廊して作品を制作します。また、会場にて注文制作を受け付けます。

日本画画材やエアブラシ等を用いて、オリジナル作品を実演制作いたします。
エアブラシ〜マスキングなどの制作風景はライブでご覧になる事は少ないと思いますので、この機会に是非ご覧ください。
お客様とコミュニケーションを取りながら、制作をしていきたいと思いますので、ご質問等ございましたらお気軽にお声をかけてください。

Modeling performance by sculptor Yu Seto

A modeling performance will be held by sculptor Yu Seto. A whole-body sculpture of a rhino will be created out of clay, which will be dismantled by the artist and visitors.(*Advance reservation required) The work is a new experiment for the artist and can only be seen at this venue.

Artist comment:
One of the most important elements of my work is “”quick and vigorous application of clay.” I believe that the artist’s touch and locus remain on the surface of the clay, which connects to the life force of the animal. I will give a performance focusing on clay application. The terracotta sculptures that I usually make go through a firing process which limits the size of the work and the armature that supports the clay. This time, by eliminating that process, I will challenge what will be the largest size in the history of Seto’s work.

I would like to show you the process of creating my work, including the layers of coloring and outlining. I would be delighted if people could feel closer to art by seeing me create my work. Please feel free to ask any questions if you have any while watching. Hope you will enjoy watching the whole process until the artwork is completed.

I will demonstrate how to create original works using Japanese-style painting materials and airbrush.
You do not often get to see the process of airbrush–masking live, so please take this opportunity to see how it is done.
I want to communicate with customers as I create, so please feel free to ask any questions.
