“Mysterious Art Made by Kimekomi Art”
Kimekomi Art Workshop by Artist Asako Iwamizu.
You can choose your favorite from two patterns.
We will use scraps of old clothes, left over sample fabrics from clothes manufacturing, and waste styrofoam, and have fun creating works of art selecting your favorite fabrics.
In this workshop, you can learn how to do kimekomi art and create a piece of art together.
Even if you have never tried it before, you will definitely have fun so please do join us♪
※You can take your creation home with you and display it at home straight away.

Participation fee: 3,300 yen per person (includes cost of materials)
Age range : from 8 years old to adult (children under 8 can participate with the help of their parents)

Live painting "Gaku Igarashi”
Gaku Igarashi is an artist who works under the motto: “Exciting, Sparkling, Thrilling and Joyful.”
I will be creating a photo spot to welcome visitors to WHAT CAFE.
Open public production of the photo spot will be held between August 17 (Tues) and August 22 (Sun) at WHAT CAFE.
Take a photo of your summer memories at the photo spot filled with a message of kindness, warmth, love and be a child at heart.
Artist Profile: Gaku Igarashi
Lived in Sydney from childhood until 2010. Exhibited his paintings at Sydney charity events and markets. Obtained a childcare license in Australia and worked as a nursery teacher.
By utilizing his experience of free and creative early childhood education in Australia, he is now working on his own art-based early childhood English learning and art activities in Japan.

ワークショップ- イワミズアサコ『キメコミアート ワークショップ』
【誰もがみんなアーティスト】
’’キメコミアートで作る不思議なアート’’
アーティスト、イワミズアサコによるキメコミアートのワークショップ。
2種類の模様から好きな模様を選びます。
古着の端材や服を作る過程で出たサンプル用の生地に触れ、廃材の発砲スチロール、楽しくみなさんの思うままの感性で生地を選び作品を作り上げます。
今回のワークショップではキメコミアートのやり方を学びながら一緒に作品を制作することができます。
初めての方でも気軽に楽しんでいただくことができますのでぜひご参加ください♪
※作った作品はお持ち帰りいただけますのでその日から作品を飾れます。

ライブペイント「五十嵐岳」
「わくわく きらきら どきどき うきうき」をモットーに制作活動をしているアーティスト五十嵐岳。
今回WHAT CAFEに来場されるお客様をお出迎えするフォトスポットを制作します。
フォトスポットは8月17日(火)~22日(日)までの期間、WHAT CAFEにて公開制作を行います。
子供心を忘れないこと、優しさ、温かみや愛のメッセージが込められたフォトスポットで夏の思い出の1枚を撮ってみませんか?
アーティストプロフィール:五十嵐岳
幼少期から2010年までシドニーで過ごし、シドニーチャリティーイベントやマーケットなどで絵を出展。オーストラリアで保育士免許を取得し保育士として働く。
オーストラリアの自由でクリエイティブな幼児教育経験を活かし
現在は日本でアートを取り入れた独自の幼児英語教育とアート活動を行っている。
