企画概要
本展では、アートキュレーターの野間博尊氏の協力のもと、13名のアーティストを紹介します。人物や動物、キャラクターなどのポートレートを描くアーティストを中心に、野間氏がセレクションした気鋭のアーティストによる約130点の作品を展示販売します。ファッション、カルチャー、デザインなど幅広い分野に影響を受けたアーティストたちによって、個性豊かに表現される世界観をお楽しみいただけます。

Event Summary
In this exhibition, 13 artists will be introduced with the cooperation of Art Curator Hirotaka Noma. Focusing on portraits of figures, animals, and fictional characters, around 130 artworks by 13 emerging artists, carefully selected by the curator, will be showcased and available for sale in this exhibition. Visitors will be able to enjoy the perspectives expressed by the artists influenced by fashion, culture, design and various other fields. Furthermore, on weekends during the exhibition, live painting and other events by exhibiting artists are planned. Please see the WHAT CAFE official website for more details and updates.

複雑な感情を抱く若者をPOPに表現した作風が特徴。東京での個展をはじめ海外での展示など幅広く活動中。
■ステートメント／作品コンセプト
若者の複雑な感情や不安定さをテーマに、迷いや苛立ちなどの表情を通して、人間らしさを表現しています。
ネガティブとも捉えられる感情は、時として人を苦しめますが同時に生きている実感を与えてくれると考えています。
代表作であるLOST BOYSはまさにその瞬間を描いています。
